Unsolved problems in field of antibiotic usage

Clinical studies show a significant increasing antibiotic resistance, especially to macrolides. In view of the lack of new antibacterial drugs, the risk of significant decreasing of antimicrobial drugs effectiveness in the future has emerged. It is important to prevent unjustified antibiotics prescription, especially, by outpatient professionals.

In this connection, the strategy and tactics of rational antibiotic prescription by outpatient specialists are important factors of counteraction to antibiotic resistance. Within the frame of this project it is planned to extend actual knowledge of interns and residents about rational approaches to antibiotic prescription. Future doctors have the opportunity to learn the problem more deeply; following the contemporary recommendation and standards will help to reduce the risk of antibiotic resistance.
